Festival Development Coordinator

Contract Position (one year); 25-30 hours/week; $38,000-$40,000

Durham Region International Film Festival is a dynamic organization promoting arts and culture in Durham Region. We are dedicated to supporting contemporary films, and encouraging important dialogue that allows audiences and artists to connect and learn from one another. Our vision is to create experiences that bring people together through the art of cinema, and to foster a vibrant film community.

DRIFF is seeking a contract position of Festival Development Coordinator for a one-year term. The Festival Development Coordinator will work closely with a dedicated Board of Trustees to set a directional course for our four-year-old festival.

The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, creative individual with excellent communications skills who is a self-starter under general direction from the Board of Trustees. The candidate will be able to manage and prioritize several projects simultaneously, and have a keen sense of the importance of community engagement.

This contract position will assist in developing:

• A five-year strategic plan (with the Board of Trustees led by a professional firm)

• Volunteer and membership programs and researching and implementing a database for both

• A plan to diversify revenue streams

• DRIFF programming ideas by analyzing existing offerings and suggesting potential enhancements

This is a remote position; candidates must have their own computers, WIFI connections, and Microsoft Office Suite.
