Driving into DRIFF
On the third Thursday in June, July and August behind the Whitby Municipal Building at dusk, we screened acclaimed films from great Canadian filmmakers. Shifting the Narrative paired three acclaimed feature films with short films by emerging Canadian directors.

Akilla Brown (played by Saul Williams) captures a fifteen-year-old Jamaican boy in the aftermath of an armed robbery. Over one gruelling night, Akilla confronts a cycle of generational violence he thought he escaped.
